If you are se...Alternate's are not pro bowlers. If you are selected to play in the game and pass due to Super Bowl or injury, you are still a pro bowler. The person they bring into replace now becomes a pro bowler. So Fodor is correct, Johnny Knox is a Pro Bowler, but like he said, as a kick returnerSteve Noffkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07224183467676479230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1960072451506266442.post-19570648995877561962010-02-04T00:24:50.841-06:002010-02-04T00:24:50.841-06:001 - I agree that there would be a lot of people on...1 - I agree that there would be a lot of people on the sidelines, but hey, college teams fit like 100 near the bench on gamedays!

2 - Everybody gets to call themselves a Pro Bowler, even if they were just third alternate, once!

In Johnny's case, I believe it can only be applied to the return job - so he's a Pro Bowl kick returner, but not a Pro Bowl receiver. Although... he did get thrown at twice in the game, so maybe he is? Maybe he woulda been if he had caught one? Who knows.Mark Fodorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15481955394440916442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1960072451506266442.post-23101346127684917282010-02-03T23:50:42.432-06:002010-02-03T23:50:42.432-06:00Also, a question from Wickes:

Or is it everyone who is originally voted as a Pro Bowl selection plus the replacements (Johnny Knox etc.)?Tim Fodorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05752502612792635370noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1960072451506266442.post-64527805592127197442010-02-03T23:48:50.259-06:002010-02-03T23:48:50.259-06:00It might get kind of crazy to have that many peopl...It might get kind of crazy to have that many people running around on the sideline, especially if they are all coaching. But I agree that something needs to change. The Pro Bowl has become a joke to watch. Maybe the younger players would at least be competitive.Tim Fodorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05752502612792635370noreply@blogger.com
