Cubs Moving Zambrano to the Bullpen
Carlos Zambrano is moving to the pen to become the most expensive relief pitcher ever. I have to say I really dont get this move, but I guess we will see how this goes. I know many of you are Sox fans but thoughts?
He's "goanna be the eighth inning setup guy until we trade for one" .... If the Sox did this to Peavy, Buehrle, Danks or Floyd, I would be FREAKING out.
Ted Lilly is the only Cub on my fantasy team. I'm excited to see him pitch.
Wow, I am not going to lie, I laughed out loud when I heard this. So much for his focus. I agree with Fodor, i'd be freaking out if the Sox Aces did this
I am happy to see it. I think that this will be good for everybody on the team. He hasn't shown that he can consistently be an ace. Sure he had the great game in Milwaukee, but he has had plenty of terrible games to make up for the one. I am sure that he will put 100 percent into his new role and I am more excited to see how it plays out. I will be at the Brewers game on Friday so hopefully I get to see him come in out of the pen.
I wanted to trade Zambrano after that no hitter he threw...he was never going to have higher trade value.
Randy Wells has shown the Cubs that you don't need to pay $17M for good starting pitchers...keep them in the minors, let them develop, and then let em succeed at the major league level.
My thought is if he isnt worried about keeping his pitch count down and keeping the bullpen out of the game he can do more with his pitches. If hes going to throw more pitches then he can outwit the batter better at least in theory. I am excited to see how this plays out.

P.S. Szamardzija sucks donkey balls.
I'll be scoring the game so a recap should be no problem at all.
ReplyDeleteDitto to szamardzija sucking.
This fellow Cannot get done in the first inning normally how is he going to be in relief?
