2018 World Cup Pool Draft

Hello Everyone,

We've used ACSS as a good place for this before, so why not get some traffic and run it here again. To see the rules check the post below.

Also be sure to check out Ryan's Recap of the last World Cup Pool here. Or my surprisingly good and still relevant read on cheering for Mexico here.

World Cup 2018 Pool

I'm literally pasting this from the Euro 2016 game cause the rules are the same.

Hello Everyone

We will be hosting the draft on ACSS once again. It'll be the long form draft with the below rules.

·        Rules

  • Buy-In: $20
  • Number of Players: 6
  • Number of teams per Player: 4
  • Team Selection: 6 round snake order draft. Neutral 3rd Party will randomly select the draft order.
  • Ways to win
    • Pot goes to Player with the Euro Cup Winning Team
    • Pot goes to Player with most points in Group Stage

  • Tiebreakers for the group stage will be determined the same way as FIFA does which basically goes as follows
    • Goal Difference in all group Matches
    • Greatest number of goals scored in all group matches
    • And then more if needed

Feel free to trade draft picks. Uneven trades will result with lost pick going to end of the draft.

For example.

Team A Trades 2nd & 3rd picks to Team B for 1st pick. Team B gives up it's 4th round pick, every team behind him moves up one spot and Team A now picks 32nd.

Team A now has

Team A 1st Round
Team B 1st Round
Team A 4th Round
Last Pick 4th Round

Team B now has

Team B 2nd Round
Team A 2nd Round
Team B 3rd Round
Team A 3rd Round

Team B has 4 picks, so forfeits his last pick
