Chicago Basketball Update

CNNSI.com's Kevin Fishbain has a good article on former Chicago prep star Ronnie Fields (from?). In his senior year of high school, Fields averaged 32-12-5-4-4 for the year and was a first team All-American along with Kobe, Jermaine O'Neal, Mike Bibby, and Tim Thomas.

Also, the Bulls brought back Jannero Pargo (from?) this week to fill part of the scoring void left by Ben Gordon. Pargo spent last season playing for Dynamo Moscow but is happy to be back with Chicago. He was a good player off the bench during that '04-'05 playoff season, and also played well in a two year stint with New Orleans.

If you can tell me where both of these guys went to high school, then you truly know your Chicago HS basketball.

Lastly, here's an interview with former Florida and current Bulls Summer League guards Anthony Roberson and Taurean Green. Roberson rode the bench for a good chunk of last year, and I'm really hoping Green (whose dad was NBAer Sidney Green) makes the roster as the third PG.
